FAQ

Which is more advantageous, renting or buying lifting equipment?

Whether renting or buying a boom lift or an aerial platform, each have their advantages. Various factors should be considered in your decision: intended use of the equipment, maintenance, inspection, cash flow, etc.

The lease-purchase plan we offer at Skytech Elevation represents the best of both worlds. This advantageous solution allows you to acquire a new or used aerial platform or boom lift by identifying it as a business expense.

In essence, you make a monthly payment with taxes, which are deducted from your business expenses, leaving your cash flow available for other projects.

We deal with several institutions to give you access to the best financial conditions according to your business situation. Contact us for more details.

What is the highest towable boom lift?

We offer the Niftylift TM64 towable boom lift, which allows you to work at a height of 21.3 m (70') with a horizontal reach of 11.9 m (39’). Contact us for more details.

What maintenance and inspections are required?

In order to comply with current standards, an annual mechanical inspection of your lifting equipment by a qualified person is mandatory. We usually take this opportunity to perform engine maintenance and a few minor adjustments to allow you to enjoy your lifting equipment all year long.

Also, a structural inspection under the supervision of an engineer is mandatory 10 years after the manufacturing date of the unit and every 5 years thereafter or upon transfer of ownership.

A structural inspection may also be required after damage has occurred that affects the structure or stability of the unit. Contact us for more details.

How much does a structural inspection cost?

Depending on the type and model of your lifting equipment, it is realistic to expect costs between $450 and $750 for the structural inspection. Contact us for more details.
